Wild Child is a beautifully envisioned space on the eastern slope of the Kasardevi Ridge. Accessed by a flight of steps twisting gently down the hillside it's surrounded by trees and bushes, and enjoys magical views of the forested valley and distant mountains. The dining space is in two parts, a warm and cozy indoor area, ideal for chilly days and an adjoining terrace with 270°views. There's also an option to dine in the garden on sunny wintry days. The Wild Child isn't a year old but runs a marvelous kitchen with absolutely delicious food. If you wish to try Kumaoni food, this is the place to start. Orders need to be placed a day in advance. The bhang ki chutney(a marijuana concoction and a local delicacy), will especially tickle your taste buds. Kumaoni food is locally sourced and is generally organic. Wild Child is open till late at night and is a good place to chill and meet other travellers on the Kumaon circuit. Or just chill to an excellently curated playlist of electronic, trance or techno-mantra music. Travellers to Kasardevi are from across the world and India, and this restaurant appeals to the palate and sensibilities of both sets of travellers.

Absolutely loved my time at Wild Child Café in Almora! The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Whether you're craving something comforting or looking to try something new, the menu has a great variety that won't disappoint. What truly stood out, though, was the amazing service. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and made me feel right at home. There's a genuine care in how they treat their guests, which adds so much to the overall experience. If you're in Almora, this café is a must-visit. Perfect place to relax, eat well, and enjoy the peaceful vibes. Highly recommended!

A comfortable and cosy place in the hills of Kasar. Nested in the midst of pine trees they offer a variety of food options. Their muesli bowl and schintzel is a must try. The owners were very friendly and offered great service.

I visited this place last week and I am so glad I did. It’s a beautiful space located near Kasar devi in Almora run by Neeraj and Pratik, two gems of people! The food here was delicious and the view and songs were cherry on the top. The menu is limited and the prices are pocket friendly. My favourite here has to be their coffee!

Nestled between the valleys of Kasar Devi, the Wild Child Café is really a place to be at. It had been 3 years since I had been on a trip and this café did not leave anything for wanted. Thank you for such an amazing time!
